HDD Low Level Format Tool is a free utility designed for performing low-level formatting on hard disk drives. This compact tool can erase, perform a low-level format, and re-certify SATA, IDE, SCSI, and SAS hard drives. It also supports formatting of drives connected via USB or FIREWIRE enclosures.
Flash memory cards such as SD, MMC, Memory Stick, and CompactFlash can also be low-level formatted using a compatible card reader. This tool thoroughly clears partitions, the Master Boot Record (MBR), and all user data from the drive.
